Coach Education at City SC
Coach Education at City SC
Better Coaches. Better Players. Stronger Clubs.
Every club wants better players—but better players begin with better coaches.
That’s why coach education is a cornerstone of the City SC Network. Through a shared philosophy, weekly curriculum, professional tools, ongoing education and mentorship, we give coaches the support they need to keep developing.
When coaches grow, the entire club benefits.
Our Approach to Coaching
Every City SC coach works from a shared foundation. Not a rigid script, but a common language: how we want our teams to play, how we develop players at every stage, and how we support the coaches responsible for making that happen on the training pitch.
That foundation runs through everything we do, from the sessions coaches plan each week to the ongoing education they complete throughout the season. It gives coaches a clear framework to work within while leaving room for their own judgment, experience, and coaching style.
This is what it means to coach within the City SC Network: consistent standards, real support, and a genuine investment in your development as a coach—not just your team’s results.

Development, Powered by Coaches’ Voice
City SC coaches have access to Coaches’ Voice, a coach education and development platform used by clubs and organizations around the world.
Through our partnership, coaches across the City SC Network have access to tools and resources supporting session planning, curriculum delivery, and ongoing professional development—all integrated into how we develop coaches throughout the season.
It’s a core part of what makes coaching within City SC different: giving coaches the structure and resources to continue developing alongside their players.
A Structured Curriculum Coaches Can Rely On
Every week, City SC coaches receive sessions built directly from our club curriculum: the same development principles and seasonal focus, delivered as ready-to-run sessions.
Each week connects to a broader seasonal cycle, so training builds progressively rather than existing in isolation. Coaches know the week’s focus, why it matters, and how to deliver it, with supporting detail around learning objectives, key coaching points, and individual player actions.
Less time planning. More time coaching.
Powerful Session Planning Tools for Every Coach
Beyond the weekly curriculum, coaches have access to Coaches’ Voice’s Session Planner, providing a library of animated sessions and tools to help them adapt, create, and deliver training.
Whether adapting a session for a different age group, finding new ideas around a specific topic, or building something entirely new, coaches have the resources to do it quickly while maintaining the purpose and quality of the session.
The result is more flexibility for coaches while maintaining the shared development principles that connect teams across the City SC Network.
Coach Development That Goes Beyond Training Sessions
Coaching well takes more than good sessions. It takes continued learning.
Through Coaches’ Voice, City SC coaches have access to professional development content including masterclasses, webinars, and in-depth learning modules covering everything from tactical concepts and player development to leadership and management.
City SC coaches complete a CPD (Continuing Professional Development) module each month as part of a season-long education program designed to make learning consistent rather than occasional.
Because coach development shouldn’t stop once the session plan is written.
Investing in Coaches. Strengthening Clubs.
Great coaching environments don’t happen by accident. They’re built through intentional investment in people.
Clubs with strong coaching cultures create greater consistency in player development, stronger environments for coaches, and better experiences for players and families.
At City SC, we’re committed to helping clubs build those environments by giving coaches the structure, education, resources, and network they need to keep developing.
Better Coaches. Better Players. Stronger Clubs.
